SPAR Castletroy, Castletroy Retail Park, Castletroy, Limerick, County Limerick, is looking for a Full-Time Deli Supervisor to join their fantastic team.
Successful candidate is required to be available to work full time 35-42 hr / weeks, with full flexibility Monday to Friday + 1 weekend a month.
Have a minimum of 2 years experience in food service, a good knowledge of HACCP, and excellent communication skills.
SUPERVISORYSupervise the activities of retail sales team on a daily basis and ensure necessary tasks are completed to an appropriate level.Ensure high quality and consistent customer service is provided at all times.Delegate and communicate effectively with the retail sales team.Supervise the effective induction and training of employees.Assist the store manager in the effective management of retail sales team performance.CUSTOMER CAREEnsure customers receive high quality and consistent service at all times.Deal with and rectify customer complaints in an effective and pleasant manner.Proactively take necessary action in store improvements following customer complaints.OPERATIONSEnsure deli/store is merchandised in a customer friendly and competitive manner ensuring compliance with company procedures and guidelines.Maintain housekeeping in the deli/store at an optimum level.Coordinate in-store sales and promotions.Communicate with retail sales team regarding in store sales and promotions.Ensure the appropriate cash register and cash handling policy is adhered to.Ensure shelf edge labels are updated on a weekly basis.React to local market trends and competition in an appropriate manner.STOCK MANAGEMENTOrdering of stock.Assist the manager in preparations for stock take and supervise where appropriate.Assist the manager in minimizing stock loss through wastage, damages, and pilferage.Ensure food management and waste systems are adhered to by retail sales team.Check stock to ensure adequate stock is available for customer's needs.Ensure stock is rotated appropriately to ensure in date stock is available and to minimize waste through out of date stock.LEGISLATION & SECURITYEnsure secure opening and closing procedures with the store manager.Assist the manager as appropriate in matters relating to managing staff ensuring compliance with labor law, HACCP, Health & Safety, and Consumer Legislation.Ensure potential hazards in the store are identified and reduced or where possible removed/eliminated.Work with Store Manager to ensure Health & Safety checks are conducted and actioned accordingly.GENERALKnow and understand company policies and procedures and ensure they are implemented effectively by retail sales team.Achieve targets as agreed with store manager.Escalate issues to store manager as appropriate.Communicate with the store manager on an ongoing basis.Undertake other additional duties as may be assigned by the store manager.Minimum Requirements: Min 3 years experience in similar Retail food service.Min 6 months in similar role.Excellent interpersonal skills.Understanding of employment, health & safety, HACCP, cooking skills, and consumer legislation.Committed to continually improving standards.Strong operational ability.Works on own initiative.Excellent communication skills.English - advanced.Benefits: Salary: starting at €14.50, review after 3 to 6 months.
