SPAR Castletroy, Castletroy Retail Park, Castletroy, Limerick, County Limerick, is looking for a Full-Time Deli Supervisor to join their fantastic team.
Successful candidate is required to be available to work Full time 35-42 hr / weeks, full flexibility Monday to Friday + 1 weekend a month.
Have a minimum of 2 years experience in food service, a good knowledge of HACCP, and excellent communication skills.
SUPERVISORY Supervise the activities of retail sales team on a daily basis and ensure necessary tasks are completed to an appropriate levelEnsure high quality and consistent customer service is provided at all timesDelegate and communicate effectively with the retail sales teamSupervise the effective induction and training of employeesAssist the store manager in the effective management of retail sales team performance CUSTOMER CARE Ensure customers receive high quality and consistent service at all timesDeal with and rectify customer complaints in an effective and pleasant mannerPro-actively take necessary action in store improvements following customer complaints OPERATIONS Ensure deli/store is merchandised in a customer friendly and competitive manner ensuring compliance with company procedures and guidelinesMaintain housekeeping in the deli/store at an optimum levelCo-ordinate in-store sales and promotionsCommunicate with retail sales team regarding in store sales and promotionsEnsure the appropriate cash register and cash handling policy is adhered toEnsure shelf edged labels are updated on a weekly basisReact to local market trends and competition in an appropriate manner STOCK MANAGEMENT Ordering of stockAssist the manager in preparations for stock take and supervise where appropriateAssist the manager in minimising stock loss through wastage, damages and pilferageEnsure food management and waste systems are adhered to by retail sales teamCheck stock to ensure adequate stock is available for customer's needsEnsure stock is rotated appropriately to ensure in date stock is available and to minimise waste through out of date stock LEGISLATION & SECURITY Ensure secure opening and closing procedures with the store managerAssist the manager in matters relating to managing staff ensuring compliance with labour law, HACCP, Health & Safety and Consumer LegislationEnsure potential hazards in the store are identified and reduced or where possible removed/eliminatedWork with Store Manager to ensure Health & Safety checks are conducted and actioned accordingly GENERAL Know and understand company policies and procedures and ensure they are implemented effectively by retail sales teamAchieve targets as agreed with store managerEscalate issues to store manager as appropriateCommunicate with the store manager on an on-going basisUndertake other additional duties as may be assigned by the store manager MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Min 3 years experience in similar Retail food serviceMin 6 months in similar roleExcellent interpersonal skillsUnderstanding of employment, health & safety, HACCP, cooking skills and consumer legislationCommitted to continually improving standardsStrong operational abilityWorks on own initiativeExcellent communication skillsEnglish - advanced Benefits: Salary: starting at €14.50 review after 3 to 6 months.
