For our client, dedicated to leading, developing and delivering best-in-class healthcare technology products and services, we are currently seeking a DevOps Lead.
The DevOps Lead position is integral to driving the success of the engineering team through a combination of technical proficiency in DevOps practices, leadership skills and an understanding of Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will not only have the necessary technical background, but also the ability to lead and inspire teams towards achieving high quality, efficient software delivery.
Key Responsibilities:Root cause analysis: Diagnosing and fixing issues in compilation, testing and deployment processes.Cloud architecture: Applying basic cloud architecture principles to relevant projects.Configuration management: Ensuring consistent configuration management across multiple environments.Project management: Oversee project schedules, objectives and deliverables.Agile methodologies: Fostering an agile mindset to increase team productivity and performance.Specific Responsibilities:Ensuring accurate documentation for solutions and problem solving.Lead the development and maintenance of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Contribute to strategic DevOps planning and execution.Collaborating with the architecture team to define non-functional requirements.Managing the Team and the Organisation:Promoting collaboration within the DevOps team and between engineering teams.Lead process improvement initiatives focusing on tools and data security.Establish high quality standards in application development processes.Promote automation practices in collaboration with architecture and development teams.Overseeing system integration and validation activities.Managing and monitoring DevOps dashboards to track performance.Ensuring consistent configurations across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).Agile Integration:Collaborate with Agile teams to improve delivery methods and tools through effective partnerships with Agile Delivery engineers and managers.
Experience and Skills:Education: Diploma in Project and Programme Management or related field.Experience: At least 5 years in IT and project management, preferably in the pharma or healthcare sector.Knowledge: Understanding of software development lifecycles and Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban).Proficiency in risk management practices.Knowledge of Agile techniques, including user stories and test automation.Experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence to oversee and document projects.Strong skills to facilitate effective communication and teamwork.Benefits:Hybrid work in Dublin Technical CentreWelcome bonus for relocation supportCompetitive salaryAnnual bonus (20% with potential for it to be more)Healthcare for you and your family membersPension allowance (6%)Employee discount card
