Brief: This role will be part of the disability residential and respite services, and you will report directly to the Managing Director.
Job Purpose: This is a senior management role in Lotus Care Ltd. The professional in the position is responsible for the governance, oversight, management, and direction of the company respite and residential services. They will be the direct liaison with HIQA for registration of services, maintenance of standards, service level contracts, and service users/referrals. The direct contact with HIQA regarding the registration and management of centres is a core responsibility. All elements of quality assurance are the responsibilities of the Director of Disability Services.
Job Information Brief: This post is full-time.40 hours per week.Onsite in individual centres, head office, and flexible hybrid working.9 – 5 Monday to Friday & On-call as required.Unsocial hours are expected in the role and adjusted with flexible working time as required.Company Brief: Lotus Care is a diverse and creative disability respite and residential care service established in 2022 with service user locations nationally. Job Purpose Summary: The Director of Disability Services (DoDS) will be responsible for: the registration of centres, the maintenance of registrations, the direct liaison with HIQA and all regulating bodies, the person responsible for all complaints and safeguarding concerns, the direct contact for referrals with TUSLA, HSE, and all referring agencies, and the person responsible for reporting internally on all components of the disability services within Lotus Care Services. Other responsibilities include assisting with budget settings, external audit, long-term planning, and regulatory returns. Operating as part of a team is most important, with the flexibility to respond to various tasks as required. The Director of Disability Services will manage and provide support to regional operations manager, PIC's, and centre teams.
Key Role and Responsibilities: Working as part of a busy care service and administrative team, the main duties of the post will be to:Register disability services with HIQA and act as PPIM.Ensure centres perform to the highest standards to maintain registration.Supervision of the management of the residential and respite services.Liaising with HSE disability managers and referring teams to ensure maximum occupancy is achieved.Internal full and spot audits and inspections.Carry out 6 monthly and annual provider audits.Initiation of all internal investigations.Work with the finance department to review budgets and PO gathering and Centre rostering etc.Schedule and attend SERG, Management, HSE, Team, Client Care, and Leadership Team meetings.Review and feedback on the monthly reports for all service users prior to HSE submission.Review of all referrals to the services and direction on them.Management and review of all submissions to HIQA inclusive of all follow-up on NF0's and Safeguarding concerns.Management and review of all service user's assessments, admissions, and transitions.Direction and support with all HIQA inspections and direct contact with the HIQA representatives regarding correspondence with the authority.Management and oversight of all maintenance in centres.Liaising with HR to ensure effective recruitment for services.Management and oversight of all policies and procedures.Oversee the monthly reporting to other sections of the organisation.Provide financial analysis and template for referrals costing submissions to accounts.Maintenance of all online filing and information for invoicing purposes.Work with all departments to manage the effective training of all staff.Be cognizant of and identify any potential risks to the organisation within your expertise.Ad hoc tasks as directed.Competencies / Qualifications Required: Minimum three years senior management experience working in a child/adult social care setting.Qualifications in social care practitionership (incl.
