Smarttech247 is a multi-award-winning provider of AI-enhanced cybersecurity services providing automated managed detection and response for a portfolio of international clients. This is a fast-growing sector with an international footprint. The Group is based in Cork/Ireland with additional operations in Romania, Poland and Northern Ireland. The Company is also listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange and is well funded for future growth.

The Director of Finance will be responsible for all the financial and management accounting at the Group. They will also be responsible for directly managing the Group's internal finance team, which currently includes three employees based in Cork and having an overview of the finance operations in Romania, Poland and the UK which are currently outsourced.

The Director of Finance will work with the executives and directors of the business to create budgets and forecasts and reports on results and performance. They will also ensure that the appropriate policies are in place along with the necessary financial controls commensurate for a business of this type. The role is fast-paced and multi-faceted and requires someone with an analytical and strategic mindset. The Director of Finance will report to the CEO and indirectly to the Board.

Candidate Skills and Experience A qualified accountant with senior level accountancy and managerial experience and ideally a knowledge of the industry. Ability to operate within a multi-country and currency environment across a number of operational locations. Experience working within a listed company environment and familiarity with specific listed requirements, including disclosure requirements. Clear understanding of the Group's financial and management information requirements and ability to implement appropriate systems. Ability to prepare group consolidations under IFRS and develop necessary processes and procedures to improve the financial control environment. Experience in preparing both interim and full year financial reports for publication by the Group. Experience dealing and liaising with the Group's auditors as part of the year-end audit process. Experience in managing a small team and familiarity with Sage Cloud, the Group's current accounting system. Ideally based in Cork, Ireland or able to travel there on a regular basis. General Skills Strategically minded. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Commercial and business awareness. Strong problem-solving skills. Good teamwork and project management skills. Ability to work to tight deadlines. A good understanding of IT and relevant software packages. Remuneration The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and opportunity to receive bonuses based on results and performance.
