Dispatch Coordinator This leading freight company with over 35 years business behind them are now opening a branch in Arklow are looking to hire a Dispatch Coordinator.
The Dispatch Coordinator will be responsible for managing the end-to-end dispatch process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to our customers.
This is a permanent role, fully based on site in Arklow with a salary of 35k with company pension and benefits.
Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate the daily dispatch operations, ensuring all orders are shipped on time and in full.
Prepare and process shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and labels.
Liaise with production, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure seamless communication and operations.
Schedule and monitor shipments with carriers, negotiating rates where applicable.
Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including tracking numbers, shipment dates, and delivery confirmations.
Manage and resolve any issues related to delayed or damaged shipments.
Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the production team to prioritise dispatch based on stock availability.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and legal regulations related to dispatch and shipping.
Person Specification: Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics coordination role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient in using shipping and inventory management software.
Knowledge of transportation regulations and shipping documentation.
