ActavoEHS Advisor - Leinster Health & Safety Leinster Permanent PART 1: Role Details Role Title EHS Advisor Department EHS Reports To EHS Manager Location Leinster PART 2: Role Purpose You will be responsible for maintaining and implementing the safety, environmental, quality and energy management controls and procedures within the Division ensuring compliance with legislation, standards, policies and procedures.

Ensuring you are responsible for yourself and/or team members who report into you Work with the various departments across the business to ensure company compliance with systems and regulatory compliance Monitor and support the implementation and operation of the Integrated Management System covering ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 standards along with other industry specific certifications / accreditations Compile and provide SHEQ documentation to support the operation of the business and projects, preparing Method Statements, Standard Operating Procedures or any other required documents SHEQ point of contact for PSCS activities on projects including preparation and maintenance of project health & safety plans and supporting the compilation of the safety file Prepare and deliver SHEQ training courses including conducting training assessments Conduct incident/accident investigations and prepare reports for internal/external purposes Prepare Safety & Environmental Plans for various projects in line with client and Actavo's SLA's / KPI's Work with Divisional Management in the development, deliver, implementation and maintenance of Divisional specific SHEQ policies and procedures Ensure the provision of all safety and environmental reports as and when required to the respective departments/areas Conduct SHEQ audits including the management and maintenance of the audit tracker.
Compiling statistics and writing reports Daily and weekly reporting to Management including maintaining the various SHEQ registers within the Integrated Management System Carry out risk assessments and site inspections, ensuring that equipment is installed correctly and safely, identifying potential hazards and determining ways of reducing risks Provide advice and direction to staff and continuously promote a positive Health and Safety culture within the business Interact with regulatory bodies, partners and external bodies PART 4: Person Specification Experience and Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years SHEQ Advisor experience Construction/Telecoms experience desirable Hold a recognised SHEQ qualification (Level 7/8) LUGS and/or SLG Card holder would be an advantage ISO Internal Auditor Experience as an advantage Member / Chartered Membership status of IOSH or similar Skills & Competencies (evidence of) Technical Excellent literacy, numeric and IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Data analysis for reports Attention-to-detail and diligence creating detailed and clear documentation Interpersonal Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills required Business Skills Communication Delegation and Time Management Networking Project Management and Planning Personal Full, clean driving licence Flexibility in line with business requirements.
Ability to represent the company in a professional manner at all times Planning, organisational, training, teamwork and presentation skills Ability to work on own initiative Ability to respond to constantly changing priorities under pressure Excellent and up to date knowledge on all Health and Safety regulations Comfortable working in a complex, challenging industry Determined and resilient, with the drive to complete tasks ACT 1
