Ehs & Facilities Officer

We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable EHS & Facilities Officer to join our expanding team at our HVAC manufacturing and fabrication site in Newmarket, Co. Cork. This role involves creating and executing initiatives to maintain a safe, compliant work environment and ensuring the effective upkeep of our facilities. This position will work closely with our current EHS Advisor. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and sustain EHS programs that align with Irish and EU safety regulations. Perform routine safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential risks. Analyze safety incidents and follow up with corrective measures. Create and present safety training programs for staff. Oversee the facility's maintenance operations, including preventative care, repairs, and renovations. Supervise janitorial services and general facility cleanliness. Ensure adherence to environmental compliance standards and permits. Develop a waste management system for the facility. Manage budgets related to EHS and facility maintenance expenses. Keep updated on current EHS and facility management best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). At least five years of experience in an EHS and facility management role within a manufacturing setting. NEBOSH National Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health; a NEBOSH Certificate in Process Safety Management is advantageous. Demonstrated experience in creating and managing EHS programs. Background in conducting safety audits and inspections. Comprehensive knowledge of Irish and EU EHS regulatory standards. Experience with facility operations and maintenance management. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in MS Office applications.
