Occupli are recruiting  an EHS Officer for our client in the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing industry in Co. Dublin. The successfulcandidate will be responsible for monitoring and assessment of hazardous and unsafe situations, andthe development of measures to ensure focus is on prevention. This is a fully-site based permanent position reporting to the EHS Lead. 

Key Responsibilities  Support EHS Lead to ensure the organisation meets its statutory obligations in all EHS areas andsupports the fostering of a safe workplace environment without risk to health.
Support the development and implementation of EHS policies, procedures and programmesacross the organisation.
Ensure that all EHS policies, procedures and programmes are adhered to and are regularlyreviewed, updated and communicated.
Responsible for the completion and regular review of risk assessments and implementation offindings where appropriate
Support on preventive measures to ensure the business is engaged in implementing suchmeasures and also in support of future Technical Operations projects.
Ensure that all incidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvementsimplemented. Responsible for the EHS logs and CAPA tracking. Support and co-ordinate adverse event reporting.
Audit Readiness & Continuous Improvement Provide subject matter expertise to the organisation on various EHS related topics. Co-ordinate the internal EHS audits and ensure that internal auditors are supportedaccordingly. Support any external EHS audits with co-ordination of audit activities and action plans. Complete GEMBA walks in laboratories Ensure compliance of EHS, generate and use metrics to measure compliance and assess EHSdata across the organisation. Support EHS inspections, risk assessment and lone working procedures and ensuring thatemployees are aware of their responsibilities. Conduct and support EHS training and ensure accurate EHS training records are maintained. Improve awareness of EHS across the organisation. Adhere to and improve business processes as required.

Share information, suggestions and observations to create consistency in EHS standards acrossthe organisation.
Support and attend Safety Committee;
Manage the relationship with external vendors.
Participate in relevant forums and committees e.g. emergency response, QMS/SMS, training,lab safety etc. as required.
Prepare and deliver training materials to colleagues.
Requirements Qualifications Degree level or equivalent in life sciences; and/or
Degree level or equivalent in Occupational Safety & Health (science focus).
Experience Experience in Occupational Health and/or Environmental Health and Safety.
At least two years' experience working in the pharmaceutical/bio-pharmaceutical industry orR&D and/or laboratory environment, would be an advantage.Skills & Knowledge
Ability to work autonomously or as part of a diverse team.
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent technical writing skills.
Good working knowledge of MS Office.
Working knowledge of factors impacting on health and well-being and of EHS regulatorycompliance including auditing.
Competence in using laboratory equipment would be an advantage.
Visa requirements: Stamp 4, Stamp 1G Spouse or EU.
Incentive Scheme - earnbetween 0-12% of an annual incentive bonus each year based on companyperformance and individual performance

Health Insurance - Client will cover the cost of full health insurance for the employee once theypas probation at 6 months
Pension - Client will makea matched 4% pension contribution once they pass probation at 6 months
