Role Summary: This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team within the Chanelle group. Reporting to the EHS Manager, the EHS Specialist will apply strong fundamental expertise in the support of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance within the company.
Key Responsibilities: Support the Company Objectives in the development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of EHS programs.Development of KPI's and aspects, ensuring compliance with all legislation and standards.Support the effective integration of EHS into day-to-day activities, management and meeting structures.Support management in carrying out incident investigations and implementation of actions.Maintain, update and write H&S procedures and compliances.Carry out risk assessments and follow up on required changes.Promote good EHS practices and safe behaviors on site.Supervise external contractors in compliance with company guidelines.Support implementation, maintenance & improvement of EHS systems including machine safety, chemical safety, noise, training, industrial hygiene, fire safety, security, ISO 14001, inspections and ergonomics.Maintain compliance to documented procedures and cGMP requirements.Organisational and time management skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands.Ability to build relationships and collaborate with others.Can work independently as well as cross-functionally with other departments.Willingness to work within a team and an ability to demonstrate leadership and coaching.Self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods and ability to handle multiple tasks in parallel.Maintain the highest standards of ethical behaviour and escalate issues appropriately.Practical, action-orientated approach to managing priorities.Takes a methodical, systematic, and structured approach to organising work.Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.Qualifications: Min Diploma / BSc in a Health & Safety/ Environmental discipline.2-3 years' experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.Skill or experience in industrial hygiene / chemicals / process safety is of particular advantage.
