We are looking for EIA Coordinator to join our growing EIA/SEA Team.
This is a hybrid role.
The positions can be based in our Dublin, Galway, Cork, Sligo and Kilkenny offices.
About The Team: Our EIA/SEA Team (one of Ireland's leading teams in this sector) delivers high value technical advisory services in areas as diverse as EIA, AA, SEA, climate change and sustainability to clients across the transport, water, energy, natural and built environment sectors.
The RPS EIA/SEA Team has a well-deserved reputation for successfully delivering many of Ireland's most challenging and complex projects through early stage development.
About The Role: The key responsibilities associated with the role will be:Lead on delivery of EIA/SEA projects;Oversee, guide and manage junior team members and sub-consultants to deliver project requirements;Take ownership of projects from inception to completion for clients;Prioritise projects while balancing client expectations, available staff resources and project deadlines;You will be working with the team on multi-disciplinary projects across a wide range of sectors and liaising with clients and other relevant stakeholders.About You: Candidates will have substantial experience working in a consultancy/regulatory role in the environmental assessment field.
A proven track record of working on EIA and/or SEA is essential.
Membership of the Institution of Environmental Sciences or similar is desirable.
Key Skills/Attributes: Familiar with relevant Irish and European planning and environmental legislation e.g.
EIA Directive and transposing Regulations.Knowledge of the Habitats Directive, and the Appropriate Assessment (AA) process is desirable.Knowledge of the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) is also desirable.Experience in coordinating planning applications and associated documentation.Excellent organisational and coordinating skills.Excellent verbal communication and report writing skills.Commercial awareness, ability to define scopes of work and to deliver projects on budget.Must have worked as part of a wider team with experience of managing deliverables to deadlines.Hard working, pragmatic and highly motivated individual - client focused with good interpersonal skills and team approach.Qualifications: Degree in science or engineering with an environmental component.
A Master's in a relevant field is desirable but not required.
