Due to continued business growth, my client, a leading mechanical & electrical contracting firm in the Dublin area, is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team.

The role in a nutshell: As an Electrical Estimator, you will work on a wide variety of projects that include high density residential schemes (apartments + housing), hotels, fitouts and office blocks along with some industrial work.
You will work with a selected number of main contractors and win repeat business directly from developers and main contractors.
Main duties include: You will be involved in the production of competitive tenders / detailed estimates Advising managers of bid prospects Attending pre & post tender meetings Complying specialist sub-contract quotes Ensuring sub-contractor quotes comply with specification Completing take-offs from tender drawings (CAD) Preparing Technical Submittals and O&M Manuals Report regularly to management on competitor activity, market trends and any other market dynamics that may be useful to management The ideal candidate will have the following: A relevant third level degree and/or a trade background and/or relevant experience 3 years' experience working in a mechanical & electrical contracting or estimating department Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under strict deadlines Excellent communication and time management skills Experience with estimating software, and spreadsheet design Due to the urgency of this vacancy, it is not possible for our client at this time to consider anyone without the appropriate work permits, visas or sponsorship's already in place.
