We are looking for a skilled Electrical / Mechanical Engineer to join our clients team as part of their Operations & Maintenance Joint Venture.
This joint venture has been pivotal in the design, delivery, and operation of a wastewater treatment facility since 2006, and we need a talented individual to help us continue our success.
Key Responsibilities: Electrical Management: Oversee all electrical permitting processes and contribute to the development of Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Process Impact Plans.Collaboration: Work closely with management and maintenance teams to plan work and implement plant improvements.Preventive Maintenance: Carry out preventive maintenance tasks and actively engage in enhancing the existing maintenance system.Fault Diagnosis: Provide expert fault-finding support to commissioning engineers during project commissioning.Documentation: Read, interpret, and modify electrical schematics, documenting all changes for future reference.Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to Safety, Health & Environmental policies, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and effectively.Installation Recommendations: Suggest improvements for electrical installations and oversee site electrical installations as required.Quality Control: Review subcontractor electrical installations and prepare snag lists to ensure compliance with standards.Testing and Reporting: Prepare and complete Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Inspection Test Records (ITRs) during installations, conduct electrical testing, and accurately record results.Manual Tasks: Perform manual tasks such as cable pulling and installation of cable containment.Instrumentation Knowledge: Utilize your knowledge of instrumentation, including flow meters, ultrasonics, water quality measurement monitors, and automatic sampling systems.Supervision: Supervise the work of electrical apprentices and ensure adherence to best practices.Thermal Imaging: Conduct Thermal Imaging tests and provide detailed reports with recommendations.Requirements: Qualifications: FETAC Level 6 Electrical Craft qualification and City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Inspection and Testing/Installation.Experience: A minimum of 3 years of industry experience, preferably in the Water/Wastewater sector.Skills: Experience with MCCs, PLCs, 3-phase power, electric motors, VSDs, LVGC, generators, instrumentation, sensors, and HMI/SCADA systems.Training: CompeX and confined space training are beneficial.Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and proactively.Company Vehicle: Access to a company van or car allowance.
