We now have an opportunity for an experienced Engineering Draftsperson to join our group team.
As an Engineering Draftsperson, you will take full ownership of managing all engineering technical files in AutoCAD and SolidWorks format. This exciting opportunity will allow you to apply your professional skills and experience in a busy and dynamic civil, structural, and environmental engineering environment.
This is a hybrid role with extensive travel between Kepak sites in Ireland and the UK and other office locations as well as working from home. Key Responsibilities:Responsible for the upkeep of all site drawings for all sites onto our SharePoint system.Overseeing the development of a wide variety of engineering projects, monitoring progression against identified milestones, advising, and directing Project Engineers/Site management with involvement in level from concept to completion.Generating 2D drawings or 3D models of architectural, engineering or manufacturing designs by using CAD/SolidWorks or similar software.Calculating the dimensions and other physical components of the design to ensure the technical drawing has the correct scale.Archiving building schematics to use and reference in the future.Coordinating with other construction team professionals to discuss the product requirements necessary to complete technical drawings and negotiate changes.Creating charts and layouts that show the workflow plan for a construction project, including what materials, building tools and computer software they instruct the team to use.Improving the functionality of an existing building or product.Designing manuals to describe the features, upkeep procedures and operational instructions of a completed product.Preparation and presentation of drawings and design outputs, using information provided by the Engineering/Design team.Assume ownership of work, and work with project managers to ensure completion of deliverables to agreed timetables.Use initiative and knowledge to support the Engineering team and grow expertise in the use of CAD software and other tools.Provide guidance and support to other members of the Engineering team.Minimum Requirements:Relevant degree with previous experience within a similar role and industry.Knowledge of CADS RC, RC detailing/scheduling.People Management Skills / Team Leadership and development.Experienced in developing detailed infrastructure design drawings using AutoCAD software, including detailed structural drawings.Desirable Knowledge:PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations).Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, CE marking of machinery.What can we offer you?
