Our client, are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled TechOps Engineer to join their existing IT Operations team.
This role involves managing, maintaining, and improving IT infrastructure while ensuring high levels of system availability, performance, and security are maintained.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated individual with extensive experience around operating systems, networking, cloud environments, and enterprise-level infrastructure management.
The Senior TechOps Engineer will: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and support on-premises and cloud-based systems Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software, including servers, storage, and networking components Ensure the stability, security, and performance of IT infrastructure across multiple platforms Monitor systems' health, performance, and capacity Identify and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and optimal performance Implement and maintain security policies and procedures to protect systems and data, as laid out by our SecOps team Remediate, vulnerabilities, ensuring systems are compliant with best practices and relevant regulations Manage backup strategies and disaster recovery plans Develop scripts and automation processes for system administration tasks using PowerShell Provide support for escalated issues from Internal Team Members and outsourced L1/L2 provider QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: 5+years experience as a Senior Systems Administrator or similar role In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) Experience with networking and diagnosing issues relating to (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.)
Hands-on experience scripting using PowerShell Familiarity with monitoring tools (SCOM, Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Azure Monitor) Microsoft Server and/or Azure Certification would be an advantage Highlymotivated, proactive, and determined problem solver who can drive and deliver solutions Please call Patrick Docherty at Enterprise People for more information.
