Environmental Specialist Contract role: 6 – 12 months Location: Limerick
Duties: Monitor the environmental program to ensure compliance with the IPC Licence. Compile and submit all regulatory reporting requirements to the EPA within specified timeframes. Act as the site's Environmental contact for the EPA. Lead as the on-site environmental contact for all environmental audits (both internal & external). Report immediately to Senior EHS Manager/Director any environmental compliance incidents on site. Lead and/or support investigations of any environmental incidents/noncompliance events on site. Provide DGSA support to the site and act as the environmental lead for onsite DGSA audits. Compile and submit all EPA reports. Manage/coordinate all environmental monitoring/sampling on site, analyze and document all associated results. Serve as the main point of contact for all on-site waste management issues. Develop and maintain environmental documentation and deliver training programs to ensure compliance. Implement ISO 14001: 2015. Lead the Radiation Protection Program. Monitor environmental regulations to ensure compliance readiness. Essential: Degree in Environmental Science/Engineering or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in environmental, health, and safety programs. 2-3 years of relevant experience in an EPA-regulated facility and in a cGMP environment is desirable. Knowledge and understanding of environmental regulations and compliance reporting. Specific experience in hazardous waste management or other professional EHS training/certifications is a plus. Additional Skills: Strong oral presentation abilities and team collaboration. Proficiency in organizing, communication, problem-solving, multitasking, and working with others. Ability to organize work independently on a routine basis and provide updates/tracking on tasks. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
