Post SummaryAs part of Trinity College Dublin's drive to address the urgent requirements associated with climate change, biodiversity and sustainability, a new procurement-centred role, ESG Measurement & Reporting Manager, has been developed.
As c.80% of Trinity's emissions are supply-chain related, this strategic new role will directly support the University in meeting the ambitious targets set out in its Sustainability Strategy.
With a spend of over €246m across 3000+ suppliers in the last financial year, and covering a range of spend categories from Laboratory & Research to ICT, Facilities, Travel etc., Trinity runs over 110 tenders and generates c.60,000 purchase orders per annum.
The new role of ESG Measurement & Reporting Manager will influence this spend and enable a new data-driven approach to Procurement's work across sourcing, purchase-to-pay and contract management.
Post statusThis is a specific purpose contract.
The specific purpose of this employment is to fulfill a significant 'Green Procurement' reporting function for FSD's audit remit, linking with ESRS requirements, with a key focus on delivering data on 'Scope 3' emissions.
You will lead out on the analysis and updating of Procurement policies and procedures, tender documents and contract templates, amongst other duties.
This role has been created to address emerging reporting requirements, which will require further assessment and evaluation before the long-term resourcing needs can be finalised.
As such, the role is not being offered on a permanent basis, and its function and associated activities will be subject to an operational review.
This review will assess the long-term capacity of the post, and the continuation of this role will be contingent upon the outcome of the review.
Hours of Post35 hours per week
SalaryThis appointment will be made on the Administrative 1 (Points 1-3), Salary Scale (€68,181 - €88,201 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
