My client based in West Dublin within the tech space has a requirement for an International Financial Controller. To be suitable, you will be qualified with at least 8 years PQE, with 4 or more at finance manager or financial controller level. You will also have exposure to the management of finance or multiple European roles. If you have worked within a startup where you have grown finance, this would be an advantage.
About Your New EmployerWell establishedStrong work-life balanceVaried roleAbout Your New JobPrepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to US GAAP, ensuring proper reconciliation of accounts and compliance with local EU regulations.Record and analyze day-to-day financial transactions including sales, purchases, expenses, and intercompany transactions.Manage VAT and corporate tax filings in accordance with local EU tax laws, including calculations, reporting, and communication with tax authorities.Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor management, invoice processing, and collection of outstanding payments.Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.Collaborate with the US accounting team to ensure seamless integration of European financial data, including intercompany transactions and reporting.Analyze financial performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.Stay updated on relevant EU accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and ensure compliance with local regulations.Own the ledgers and finance system - Daily maintenance of the Finance system, Acumatica, covering all daily processes and controls.Oversee the purchase ledger functions, supported by a transactional Assistant.Operate the sales ledger functions, associated systems, and bank reconciliations.Liaise with customers and suppliers as necessary.Regular bank reconciliations and associated transactions.What Skills You NeedQualified Accountant with at least 4 years at Manager/Controller levelManagement of multiple European entities – strong International finance experienceComing from a startup environment where you build finance would be an advantageStrong US GAAP/IFRS knowledgePlease note for all my roles you must have a valid visa to work in Ireland.
