On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant. This is a permanent role within a Dublin based company that offers great flexibility in a hybrid role. The role reports to the Finance Director.
Leadership of or responsible for:You will work as a Financial Accountant for a very fast-paced medical device manufacturing company in Dublin.
As the Financial Accountant, you will work alongside the Finance team, and you will be responsible for ensuring month-end data is processed on a timely basis and recorded accurately. This role will report into the Finance Director.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:Have responsibility for the integrity and management of the accounting data in the company's ERP.Be responsible for producing the monthly financial accounts of the group.Perform intercompany reconciliations, consolidated accounts, revenue cut-off, sales & COGS reconciliations, deferrals & amortisation, Balance Sheet and P&L analysis, cost allocations.Have input in the monthly internal reporting requirements, i.e., monthly flash dashboards, review budget/actual/forecast.Preparation of the Statutory Accounts and annual Corporation Tax computations.Liaising with external auditors and coordinating the year-end audits.Perform a key role in the preparation and compilation of annual budgets and forecasts for the company.Assistance with preparation and calculation of R&D Tax credits reclaim and grants.Assistance with the reporting of all information and KPI's relevant for the purposes of the firm's Key Performance Management.Oversee and be responsible for VAT returns.Any other duties as requested.Qualifications:Qualified Accountant, with 2 years PQE preferable.Experience of working within a team in a diverse environment.Experience of consolidation/exposure to US accounts preferred.Initiative and self-motivation.Systems: Strong Excel skills essential; exposure to NetSuite ERP highly desirable.Strong operational knowledge of accounting best practices and their implementation for both Irish/UK GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS.Excellent numerical ability/reporting skills & data analysis & interpretation skills.Job Type:Full-time, permanent
