DescriptionBDO Talent Management are partnering with an Irish owned independent WEALTH MANAGEMENT firm located in D.6. They are looking for a FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT. This opportunity offers growth and the opportunity to be the lead and take ownership. HYBRID: 3 days in the office, 2 days WFH. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.Analyze financial data to identify trends, perform variance analysis, and provide actionable insights to management.Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including those related to financial and tax reporting.Streamline accounting processes and improve financial controls.Manage and reconcile investment portfolios and transactions to ensure accurate reporting and performance tracking.Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations for financial practices.Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting, providing support to various departments in financial planning.Implement and maintain robust financial systems and databases, ensuring data integrity and security.Prepare tax returns and ensure timely submission, including estimated quarterly tax payments.Monitor cash flow, manage bank accounts and transactions, and optimize financial operations for efficiency and cost control. Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. ACCA, CPA or equivalent certification is required.2-3 years PQE accounting experience, preferably in a wealth management or financial services environment.Strong understanding of GAAP and other financial regulations and practices.Proficient in financial software systems (SAGE products) and advanced Excel skills.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong attention to detail with an ability to work independently.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly.Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strict deadlines.
