The Job: A well-established global manufacturer is seeking a Financial Controller to join its Group Finance team. This privately-owned company has over 60 years of experience delivering precision-engineered products for industrial applications. Key Responsibilities: Finalize monthly accounts and provide insightful commentary to the executive team, collaborating closely with your direct reports and the wider finance team.Develop and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and value-added metrics to assess business and project performance.Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, stock, working capital, and capital expenditure, through direct reports and the shared services team.Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting efforts to support strategic decision-making.Implement and maintain robust financial and cross-departmental internal controls.Review departmental capital expenditure requests, conduct return on investment (ROI) analysis, and monitor spending.Oversee production efficiency, headcount requirements, and output analysis.Maintain and review rolling cashflows for each entity, consolidating them into the group cashflow.Evaluate credit risk for new customers and assess risks related to new projects.Manage the audit process and ensure timely group consolidation.Ensure accurate and timely submission of government returns, including VAT, corporation tax, VIES/INTRASTATS, and other surveys.Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.Drive the group's digital transformation journey by deploying modern technologies, including AI, to reduce non-value-added work.Provide ad hoc analytical support to the general manager, procurement, IT, sales, marketing, engineering, and operational teams.Requirements: Qualified accountant or related qualification.Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working in a commercially focused role.Experience of ERP systems (preferably SAP but not a prerequisite).Working knowledge of FRS102 and US GAAP would be preferable.Previous experience using Power BI and/or other data visualisation packages.Advanced abilities in MS Excel and other MS Office programs.Excellent analytical & reporting skills with the ability to extract, analyse and work within the data.Highly motivated individual with strong communication skills and presentation skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time efficiently.Collaborative and friendly, and comfortable working in a global environment and in cross-functional teams.Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.For a confidential discussion and more information on the role, please contact Eoghan Dalton ****** 090-6478108
