Head of Accounting, Tax and Compliance Plc Position Description A newly created position on the back of continued growth and development within a major division of an Irish Plc.
Reporting to a major Divisional Finance Director, key aspects of the role will involve: Leading accounting, tax and compliance functions Taking a lead role in Enterprise Risk Management Working closely with business units with managing risks, improving internal controls frameworks Leading business process and systems reviews, identifying areas of improvement Manage relationships with Internal & External Auditors Overseeing the Annual Audit Overseeing Statutory Accounts preparation and filing Ensuring governance and oversight of SOx framework and testing program Oversee compliance with all company tax filings and monitoring legislation changes Assisting with new company acquisitions, divestments and dormant company liquidations Leading a small team Candidate Background Ideal candidate will have the following background: Qualified Accountant, with min 10 years PQE Big 4 training background SOX, enterprise risk management, and internal controls experience.
Strong technical accounting skills - IFRS, USGAAP and Irish Tax Demonstrated knowledge of risk, governance, and internal controls requirements for a plc Excellent communication and influencing skills About Our Client Our client is one of Irelands leading Plcs.
