Musgrave is now recruiting a Food Safety & Quality Technical Specialist in Allied Cookstown, Dublin.
This role is responsible for providing Food Safety & Quality technical support at each of the stages along the supply chain for Retail Distribution & Export Centers in Dublin.
The main duties of this role include, but are not limited to:
Responsibility for Food Safety Quality Management Systems required to meet regulatory requirements and prescribed standards (e.g., FSSC 22000).
Ensuring the safety of all food products is not compromised during storage, assembly, and distribution in Allied Cookstown (Tallaght).Leading the on-site HACCP team and conducting audits of FSMS compliance to schedule, issuing reports, and agreeing improvement plans with the supply chain and facilities team.Working with the export operations team at Export Hub Ballymun to develop/maintain the FSQM system and ensuring the site continues to meet DAFM licensing requirements.Preparation for and coordination of external regulatory and certification audits in Allied Cookstown and Ballymun Export Hub (e.g., DAFM and FSSC 22000) and customer audits.Manage content and deliver food safety training to all new employees.Reporting on FSQ performance against targets (KPI's).Perform product testing/auditing at CDC at goods receiving and dispatch in accordance with agreed testing schedules, procedures & specification alignment.Assessments of packaged Own Brand products against specification.Ensuring adherence to prerequisite programmes (e.g., calibration, pest control, Glass & Perspex audits, verifying accuracy and filing of temperature documentation).Following up on supplier non-conformances and queries.Reviewing retailer claims/product returns to approve/reject.Ensuring all Retailer FSQ queries are actioned and closed out in a timely manner.Supporting FSSC22000 accreditation in Chill and Ambient depots – TACCP, internal audits, and traceability exercises.Project Work Work on required projects with the FSQ Coordinator to improve and drive the FSQ initiatives within the business, representing the FSQ Department across the business to influence Food Safety culture.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications: Science/Food Science Qualification (Essential).Technical Quality Experience.HACCP/Food Safety Management systems knowledge.Experience of Food Safety & Quality Management Systems and a good working knowledge of a GFSI standard (e.g., BRC, FSSC 22000 or equivalent).Flexibility, quick learner, problem solver, good communication, and good organisational skills.Full Driver's License and access to own car is required.Please be advised the shift pattern is Tuesday to Saturday and this is an onsite position located in Cookstown, Industrial Estate, Tallaght, Dublin.
