Job Overview: We seek a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer with road design experience to join a great company in Cork.
The successful candidate will be key in delivering high-quality engineering solutions for commercial, housing, and apartment developments, contributing to the success of various site development and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities: Develop engineering design calculations, specifications, construction drawings, and schedules.
Attend on-site inspections, client meetings, and project discussions.
Liaise and collaborate with colleagues, architects, consultants, local authorities, and clients.
Conduct site inspections and compiled detailed inspection reports.
Ensure compliance with all project documentation and standards.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or on the way to being chartered.
2-5 years of post-graduate experience with a design consultancy, specifically in commercial, residential, or similar developments.
Proven experience in site development design (roads, drainage, water, SUDS).
Strong skills in road/transportation design.
Solid understanding of relevant design standards (e.g., DMRB, DMURS).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational skills with a focus on time and resource management.
Proficiency in IT and design software.
Familiarity with Health & Safety (Construction) regulations.
High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Site 3D, Civil 3D, Micro Drainage, and MX Road.
