Department Overview
The Accounting Department is currently comprised of a broad range of functions, including: fund accounting; operations; position, P&L and exposure reporting; valuation; risk management design and reporting; and liquidity management.
Job Description
This individual will be part of a newly formed office in Dublin responsible for assisting in accounting and review of a complete set of fund maintained books and records, in partnership with the global Fund Accounting team. They will be involved in the closing of books on a monthly basis as well as fund expense allocations and reporting. They will monitor the cash reconciliation and accuracy of interest, dividend, and other accruals. The position involves heavy interaction with the trading desk, operations, legal, tax, and investor relations/marketing global teams.
Key responsibilities may include:
Partner with the global team to conduct accounting and review of complex funds including determining net asset values, calculating fund performance, allocating expenses and preparing reports.Manage third party administrators, review monthly and quarterly books of the funds.Assist with year-end audits, and in determining the appropriate accounting treatment for all transactions.Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting or the equivalent is required.2-5 years work experience as an accountant in financial services with hedge fund or private equity clients and/or product controller.Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred.Fully ACCA Qualified is a prerequisite.Good product knowledge, including fixed income instruments and derivatives.
