About the team: Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS) has been active in Ireland for 20 years and is a leading player in servicing Irish domiciled and offshore collective investment vehicles. We act locally as fund administrator and depositary for a wide range of international clients managing schemes from UCITS to AIFs, including private equity, real estate structures, hedge funds, and special purpose vehicles.

Summary of Key Purposes of the Role: The Fund Accountant Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily valuation workflow of one or more client relationships.

Responsibilities: Supervises the daily valuation workflow of one or more client relationships.Validates the NAVs and provides assistance to the offshore team.Ensures timely and accurate results for each of the funds within each relationship.Provides guidance to the Fund Accounting Team.Ensures technical assistance to the Fund Accounting Team.Problem solving for the Fund Accounting Team in resolving issues.Ensures that all reconciling items are followed up and escalated where necessary.Supervises the Fund Accounting Team to ensure that procedures are followed and that the service is at the required standard.Ensures that all agreed deliverables are met.Acts as the 1st point of escalation with clients for queries/issues for which you are delegated.Ensures all fee budgets and performance fees calculations are agreed with the clients on an annual basis.Communicates issues on a timely basis to management.Maintains positive relationships with clients.Expands and promotes the image of SGSS to all external contacts.Ensures that clients receive the best quality of service.Proactive in response to internal and external client queries.Involvement with the implementation and continuous update of procedures and processes.Ensures compliance with the ISAE3402 certification.Participates and leads on special projects where required.Keeps up to date on any technical and regulatory developments within the business.Liaises with clients, custody back office, clearing brokers, etc., regarding various matters/issues (reconciliations, settlements, corporate actions). Profile required: Knowledge of Fund accounting for UCITS and Non-UCITS Funds.Strong overall knowledge of the fund industry/regulations (UCITS, AIFMD, etc.).Experience with Private Equity/Real Estate Funds is an advantage.Solid understanding of fundamentals of financial instruments, stock markets, derivatives, and the NAV process as a whole.Good understanding of accounting concepts.Communication skills.Leadership and motivation skills.Ability to supervise a team.Good working knowledge of Excel.Knowledge of GP3 is an advantage.Fluent in English, both written and spoken.Ability to work as part of a team and independently.Good time management, organizational, and planning skills.Good numeric and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.Ability to understand, address, and manage operational risks.Good interpersonal skills.Committed to improving work processes and developing efficiencies in the workplace.Ability to raise important issues to management.Customer-focused.
