Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced, energetic, and focused General Manager who is passionate about exceptional service to join their team.
Located in the heart of Dublin's City Centre, the bar enjoys a steady stream of regular customers, bustling passing trade, and a thriving food business.
Role: The General Manager will oversee all bar and restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of food, service, health and safety.
The successful candidate will aim to achieve efficient and profitable business performance while optimising staff and resources in alignment with the company's business model.
Key Responsibilities: Staff Training and Development: Train and coach bar, floor, and kitchen staff.
Prepare and implement standard operating procedures.
Manage staff performance according to established standards and procedures.
Ensure staff adhere to established codes of practice.
Operational Management: Organise and monitor staff schedules.
Co-ordinate bar operations during each shift.
Monitor adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
Maintain records of health and safety practices.
Ensure compliance with bar security procedures.
Business Management: Oversee planning and forecasting activities.
Manage inventory and cost control.
Utilise relevant computer applications to manage administrative tasks.
Implement best practices for safety and sanitation.
Requirements: Previous experience working in a fast-paced Irish bar environment is essential.
In-depth knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Proven experience in staff management and development.
Competence in planning and forecasting.
Track record in managing inventory and cost control.
Familiarity with administrative procedures.
Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
Knowledge of best practices for safety and sanitation.
Availability to work shifts during weekends and holidays.
