General Operative

The Role: This is a full-time position working an average of 4 0 hours per week 5 days over 7 to include weekends and public holidays.
Main Duties:         Work as part of the group Maintenance Team & Warehousing Support.
        Work on the maintenance list for both stores as compiled/assigned by the Group Maintenance Manager.
        Carry out maintenance and repair work in a scheduled and timely manner.
        Ensure that all works are completed in a safety conscious manner and that consideration is given to the fact that the stores are operational with staff and customers on-site.
        Store all equipment in a safe manner in designated areas ensuring that equipment is properly maintained and in a good/safe state of repair.
        Observe the general rules/guidelines and health and safety rules/guidelines of the properties at all times.
        Work with the Group Maintenance Manager & Warehouse Manager in ensuring that there is a preventative schedule in place and carry out same.
Requirements:   Must have a full clean B drivers licence.
        Must have 2/3 years' experience in a similar role.
        Must have general maintenance/DIY abilities such as painting/general upkeep of a property.
        Must have an appreciation and awareness of Health & Safety.
        Must have a proven track record in a similar role.
        Must have excellent communications skills.
        Must have excellent people skills.
        Must have excellent organisational skills.
        Must have excellent attention to detail.
        Must be able to multi-task.
        Must be able to work as part of a team.
        Must be fluent in the English Language both written and spoken.
