Global Development Lead - Ireland

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our team as Development Lead in Ireland.
You will play a critical role in driving the growth of Fuse by developing and acquiring new solar, wind, and energy storage projects.
This encompasses leading market analysis, negotiating land agreements, managing the grid connection process & permitting, and assessing project viability.
Additionally, you will actively evaluate potential project acquisitions and strategic partnering opportunities.
This is an exceptional opportunity to lead our development team in Ireland and contribute significantly to our mission of building a terawatt of renewable capacity.
Responsibilities: Identify optimal sites for greenfield development.
Negotiate land agreements and cultivate positive relationships with landowners.
Oversee environmental assessments and project permitting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Manage grid connection processes.
Represent Fuse's vision and mission to regulatory agencies, government funding bodies, and local planning authorities to secure approvals and funding for Fuse's renewable energy projects.
Identify and deliver available grants, subsidies, and other sources of funding across federal, state, and local bodies.
Investigate and facilitate acquisitions that align with company objectives.
Proactively identify, approach, and collaborate with potential partners, including energy project developers, investors, trading counterparties, and other stakeholders to drive mutual growth and achieve our strategic objectives.
Requirements Proven experience in leading development initiatives within the renewable energy sector.
Extensive experience with finding grid headroom.
Preferably from an electrical engineering background and with previous experience in one of the network operators Strong negotiation skills and expertise in land agreements Knowledge of environmental assessment processes and project permitting.
Familiarity with subsidies and other financial incentives for renewable energy projects.
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in project budgeting and financial viability assessments.
