Grocery Manager

Main purpose of the role:
Ensure the Grocery Department operates efficiently and effectively at all times. Provide our customers with excellent quality products and customer service.
The ideal candidate will have/be: Minimum 1 year experience in a management positionGood knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)Excellent communication skillsGood delegation skillsHighly driven with a strong work ethicAn understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targetsCommerciality and brand awarenessPassion for grocery retailThrive in a fast-paced working environmentMain duties: Actively live SuperValu brand-values i.e. Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and ImaginativeCommunicate the required operating standards to all employees and ensure they understand and implement such standards at all timesDrive sales through instore initiativesMerchandise and present the department to the highest standard at all times and in accordance with relevant store planograms and guidelinesAdhere to weekly stocktaking and daily waste procedures in the Grocery DepartmentLiaise with the management team so as to ensure that weekly gross profit, net profit and sales targets are achievedConduct quality and freshness checksAttend relevant training as required and implement learnings in store
