Head of Finance - Dublin - Wallace Myers International Lead our financial management and governance, providing strategic guidance, ensuring compliance, and optimising performance.

$120,000 - $180,000 per annum
Job Description Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a financial strategy in line with overall objectives.
Provide accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish financial goals and objectives.
Identify and mitigate potential financial risks, developing and maintaining a robust internal control framework.
Manage cash flow and liquidity, implementing effective treasury management practices.
Conduct financial modelling and analysis to support strategic initiatives, investments, and business development opportunities.
Oversee all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and reporting, staying informed about changes in Irish tax laws and regulations.
Collaborate with external partners, financial institutions, and stakeholders to optimise financial relationships and support business objectives.
Mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or Master's degree in finance or accounting preferred.
3 years+ progressive financial leadership experience.
Proven track record of success in senior financial leadership roles, preferably in a comparable not for profit organisation.
Strong grasp of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently and collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams and driving results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Experience with ERP systems and financial software.
Skills and Abilities: Excellent financial acumen and analytical skills.
Strong leadership skills, empowering the finance team to deliver results.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience with stakeholder relationships including tax advisors and auditors.
Confident with corporate governance principles.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and in a high-pressure environment.
Commitment to ethical conduct, integrity, and professional standards of excellence.
