Health And Safety Advisor (Dublin)

Health and Safety Advisor Excel are delighted to partner with a leading Irish Utilities and Engineering company in hiring a proactive and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join their growing team.
Based in Dublin, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations across our client's Water projects on utilities and construction sites.
This is a hands-on position that requires a confident, self-motivated individual who can work independently on active sites.
Key Responsibilities for Health and Safety Advisor Ensure that all site activities comply with relevant health and safety legislation and company policies.
Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure safety measures are in place.
Prepare and deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings to site personnel to promote a culture of safety.
Lead investigations into any health and safety incidents or near-misses, ensuring root causes are identified, and corrective actions are implemented.
Maintain accurate records of safety audits, inspections, and incident reports.
Monitor compliance and provide support and guidance to site teams.
Support the training and development of site personnel in health and safety practices.
Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to implement effective safety measures.
Requirements for this Health and Safety Advisor 3-5 years of experience as a sole Health and Safety Advisor on active construction or utilities sites.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction or utilities sector.
Proven experience in preparing and conducting effective toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and promote a safety-first culture.
Relevant health and safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
Full, clean driving license (company vehicle provided).
