Job role: Health and Safety Advisor - Dublin
We are advertising a job role of Health and Safety Advisor for our client who is at the forefront of innovation in the construction industry. The company has a long history of delivering large-scale construction projects to a diverse range of repeat business clients, putting the health and safety of both their staff and sub-contractors as their number one priority.
This award-winning organisation is looking for a H&S Advisor to join their team to aid them in their goal of keeping the work environment safe and in line with rules and regulations.
Day-to-day responsibilities: Manage emergency procedures, respond to health and safety-related complaints or issues, and keep a focus on health and safety within the business.Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry.Lead in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks.Assist in pre-qualification questionnaires and gaining accreditations such as CHAS, Safe Contractor, Constructionline, SMAS, etc.Carry out risk assessments of premises, equipment, COSHH, fire, display screen equipment, manual handling, legionella, etc., and consider how risks could be reduced.Outline safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards and communicate to all employees.Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements.Keep records of incidents and accidents and produce statistics for managers.Deliver Toolbox Talks and liaise with HSE, Fire Officers, Environmental Health Officers.Carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and adhered to.Make changes to working practices to make them safer and ensure they comply with current legislation.This is an excellent opportunity for somebody that wants to further their career in health and safety with great career progression opportunities.
