This Role In this role, you will report to the Service Delivery Manager to support the planning and implementation of environmental health and safety programs by developing and maintaining a comprehensive occupational safety program for the Company including safety inspections, risk assessments, participating in incident investigations, developing and providing training, and performing related tasks as assigned. The successful candidate will help ensure Health and safety compliance across all departments in multiple regions.
Role Requirements & Responsibilities Guide and promote employee health and safety performance by assisting in developing health and safety systems, programs, and procedures.Maintain a Safety Committee to prevent occupational injuries and illnesses, to enhance the overall site safety culture resulting in management engagement, employee involvement, and the reduction in unsafe conditions and behaviours.Participate in incident investigations to find root causes and identify aligned long-term corrective actions.Perform facility audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify environmental, safety, and occupational hazards and weaknesses.Practice and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and develop recommendations that provide solutions, remedies, or process improvement.Participate, review, and approve risk assessments for customer sites.Educate employees on how to prevent health problems using safety training programs with monthly safety talk topics.Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with Safety Policies.Participate in projects for new or improved health and safety procedures as a safety advisor.Travel is required 10%.Other duties as assigned.Candidate Requirements The successful candidate will be required to possess and demonstrate:
Strong ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with employees and managers at all levels of the organization.Relevant 3rd Level EHS qualification is essential.Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar role is essential.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to train.Strong planning and organizational skills.Analytical problem solving.Demonstrated initiative and innovation.Knowledge of computer and software skills an asset.Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.Time management skills with the competence to manage multiple priorities at once.Minute taking.Proficient with MS Office skills.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Manual Handling / Train the trainer.The following qualifications, skills, and experience would be an advantage:
Experience with MS SharePoint in a corporate environment.ISO9001:2015 or other quality management approaches.Project Management.The remunerating package, including salary and benefits, is negotiable depending on experience. The package may include the following:
