Health & Safety Officer - Residential Contractor

Are you a Construction H&S Officer with ca4-5 years experience working with construction/civil contractors on residential developments?This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious EHS officer to take ownership of &S duties for a residential contractor / developer with a strong order book.Health & Safety Officer - Residential Contractor - DublinOur client is a leading Residential Contractor with large scale development projects based in Kildare, Meath & DroghedaThey are seeking an experienced H&S officer to manage the H&S function for the company.
The role will be based in the Blanchardstown Head Office with regular visits to sites based in Kildare, Meath and DroghedaResponsible for the delivery of HSE advice and support to site based personnel and others.Provide support and advice to colleagues, subcontractor personnel and other third parties.Proper reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses in an accurate and timely fashion and assist with investigations in accordance with Company policies and procedures.Conduct site safety inspections, audits and risk assessments as required and ensure that management personnel put appropriate action plans in place.Conduct regular reviews on corrective actions arising from incidents, inspections and audits.To ensure HSE policies and procedures are fully implemented and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.Assist with the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure that HSE lessons learnt and other initiatives are properly communicated.Provide a proactive approach to problem solving and?to the various aspects of day-to-day health, safety and environmental managementRequirementsRelevant H&S Qualifications and Certs4-5 years experience working with construction/civils contractorsGood understanding of health and safety legislation and have an ability to evaluate current and emerging trends in health and safety management.Self-motivated, be able to quickly resolve issues and be able to integrate well into the senior management teamPackageSalary €55k - €65k negotiable dependant on experienceFull-time permanent staff role with great career prospects Office based in Blanchardstown with regular visits to sites in Kildare, Meath & Drogheda
