Position: Health & Safety Officer (Travel Required)
Location: Parkwest, Dublin Teamworx are delighted to announce this fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, passionate and self-motivated professional to join our clients team to drive the health and safety within the Operations Division. You will monitor the arrangements and review the protective and preventative measures that the Company requires to minimise operational losses, occupational health problems, accidents and injuries. You will also ensure that employers and workers comply with safety legislation and that safety policies and practices are adopted and adhered to.

Key Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate the Health and Safety of all Stores and Offices across the UK & Ireland – this role requires a great deal of travel
Drive health and safety/hygiene, legality and quality system improvements
Formulate policies and procedures and ensure they are adhered to
Take ownership and lead in-house relevant training of all employees.
Periodically conduct frequent safety inspections and checks
Investigate and analyse information to implement continuous improvement across the company
Develop a correct procedure for reporting accidents
Manage emergency and first aid procedures
Carry out risk assessments to consider how risks could be reduced
Arrange required trainings (external providers) based on the organization need and keep data track
Secure execution of all relevant trainings in the sites
Frequent travel between Ireland and the UK
Lead by example embracing current health and safety standards
Have a hands-on attitude with a passion for team engagement
Confident and effective communicator - verbally and in writing
Team player, to contribute to a positive and healthy team
Bring drive, enthusiasm and self-motivation with you each day
Keen eye for detail, computer literate, good planning and organising abilities
Maintain confidentiality in matters involving safety investigations
Ability to work independently and manage own time as well as working as part of a team
Passionate about health and safety
A driving licence - essential for current role
Qualifications: Solid experience working in a Health & Safety environment in Ireland & UK is highly beneficial
Experience working within environments spanning across retail or hospitality is desirable
Health & Safety qualification - NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent preferred
