Healthcare Assistant (Children's services) - Youghal We would like to invite applications from committed and caring Healthcare Assistants (Personal Assistants) who are interested in joining our ALS Children's service team in the location of East Cork.
Youghal, East Cork The position on offer is 8 hours per week with the potential for relief and more hours to build up your roster.
Availability of 11am - 3pm Thursdays and Fridays required What we Offer The current pay scale is subject to an 8% salary rate increase in 2024, aligning with the recent WRC interim agreement aimed at enhancing pay adjustments within Section 39 organizations.
Salary range for this position is €14.23 – €15.82 per hour depending on experience.
Before 8am and after 8pm - from €17.78 p/h Sunday - from €21.34 p/h Public Holidays - from €28.46 p/h Paid inter-client mileage.

Overall Purpose of Job The purpose of the role is to enable the Service User to achieve maximum independence in all aspects of daily living by providing assistance in personal care, domestic assistance, social and educational assistance, travel, and companionship.
The role takes place in the homes and communities of our Service Users. Key relationships must be fostered and developed for the successful implementation of this role, including liaison and coordination with other identified Home carers and maintaining close communication with the ALS Coordinator/Scheduling staff.
Training and Qualifications Required Childcare qualification of SNA QQI level 5 or Childcare QQI level 5 or QQI level 5 major award in Healthcare discipline to include Human Growth and Development module - (essential) Experience of working with people in a caring role - (essential) Be reliable, trustworthy, and maintain confidentiality. Demonstrate excellent communication skills with a good level of spoken and written English. Full driving licence with access to own vehicle - (preferred) Behaviours Person-centred approach.
