About the opportunity The Ireland Transportation sector includes a portfolio of high-profile projects with clients that include Transport Infrastructure Ireland, National Transport Authority, Irish Rail, national and regional contractors and several significant Local Authorities.

The team you lead will be responsible for the efficient production of quality design solutions and management of team programme and budget.
You will be responsible for resolving technical issues as they occur for a range of areas across the project and for monitoring progress.
Lead and mentor a team of engineers in an environment where teams share best practice and support one another towards a common project goal.
You will be expected to attend progress meetings, public exhibitions and public inquiries as necessary and you will need to check and approve documentation prepared by others in the team, this will involve short timescales and delivery.
Working in other offices may be necessary from time-to-time depending on projects.
Here's what you'll need A Level 8 degree in Civil Engineering and attained Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Ireland equivalent.Thorough understanding of TII Publications, UK DMRB standards, Active Travel standards.Proven technical experience of most aspects of Major Highway, Local Road or Active Travel schemes and sound knowledge of H&S legislation.Confident with proven interpersonal and communication skills.Knowledge of the financial management and control of projects.Able to produce well-presented and accurate reports and capable of managing a challenging workload subject to change at short notice.Experience of Design, Build Projects and Civils 3D proficient, and/or drainage design capabilities (WINDES or equivalent) would be an advantage.Experience of construction supervision and Road Safety Auditing experience.Knowledge of the financial management and control of projects and good knowledge of different contract types and procurement options.Experience of Building Information Modelling (BIM).Our Culture Our values stand on a foundation of safety, integrity, inclusion and diversity.
