We are a long-established healthcare agency looking to expand into Home Care and are seeking a Home Care Manager to join our team.
This role is crucial in providing a high-quality, person-centred home care service that meets the individual needs of our Service Users within their home environment.
Overview: Oversee the entire recruitment process for home care professionals, including caregivers, nurses, and support staff.
Create and implement effective strategies to attract and retain high-quality candidates.
Work closely with service users to understand their needs and ensure the placement of candidates who align with the organisations mission and values.
Conduct interviews, assess applicants qualifications, and make hiring decisions.
Maintain an updated database of potential and active candidates.
Adhere to legal and company standards throughout the recruitment process.
Duties and Responsibilities: Service User Support Collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality home support for Service Users.
Service User Assessment and Care Review homecare referrals and take appropriate action.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual home care support for each Service User.
Record Keeping Maintain updated records for each Service User and their Home Care Worker.
Ensure all documentation is kept up to date.
Policy Development and Compliance: Collaborate with the management to review and develop policies.
Keep up to date of HIQA regulations and standards.
Maintain awareness of the Health and Safety strategy.
Conduct personal risk assessments in various situations.
Appraisal and Qualifications Monitoring Complete the appraisal process and update staff files.
Monitor the qualifications of Home Care Workers.
Maintain up to date compliance records for all Home Care Workers Qualifications and Experience Management Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in management, preferably in the Health Care sector.
Professional Qualifications: Professional social care qualification (e.g., Nursing Diploma/Degree or relevant QQI level Qualification in Health and Social Care with Business Management).
Desirable Qualifications: Health and Safety qualification.
Driving and Travel: Full, clean drivers license and willingness to travel.
Skills Required Proven skills in supervising and leading teams effectively.
Strong effective communication skills.
Understanding of regulatory requirements in the Health Care sector.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage time efficiently Excellent administrative skills.
Proficient IT knowledge and ability to understand and use data effectively for report compilation.
