Main purpose of the role:
Maintain and enhance the store's human resources by planning, implementing and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programmes and practices.
The ideal candidate will have/be: 2 years' experience in a relevant positionCIPD qualification is desirableExcellent communication skillsGood delegation skillsHighly driven with a strong work ethicAn understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targetsCommerciality and brand awarenessPassion for grocery retailThrive in a fast-paced working environment.Main duties: Actively live SuperValu brand-values i.e. Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and ImaginativeEnsure optimum employment levels through appropriate recruitment and selection proceduresDevelop appropriate personal training and development plans for each employeePromote a harmonious working atmosphere in store through proactive employee communication and problem resolutionEnsure the store is compliant with relevant legislation and implement procedures as requiredEnsure that all employees receive an induction and initial and ongoing trainingDocument and record all internal and external trainingManage probation periods accordinglyMaintain employee attendance, holiday and leave recordsWhen necessary, implement the Grievance and Disciplinary policies correctlyEnsure that all customer service programmes and procedures are in place and provide appropriate training as requiredLiaise with shop and union officials in accordance with company policies (if applicable).
