About the Role This role covers the operational aspect of HR in Irish Brand Homes. Supporting, coaching and leading managers to enable effective management of their teams on a day to day basis. No direct line management experience is required, however will be expected to coach managers in day to day HR operational issues. Will also form part of senior management team operating across Irish Brand Homes.
The purpose of this position is to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness of all HR policies and ways of working, to proactively ensure the application of policy and procedure by line managers, and to continually coach, develop and grow line managers.
Please note that Irish Brand Homes is an in-person operation, so the successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 3 days a week on site. It will also require working the occasional Saturday as this is the busiest day staff is on site. You will be responsible for: Upskill managers in the application of key policies and processes, specifically Managing Attendance and Performance.Review absence levels monthly and report statistics into operational management meetings. Work with managers to reduce absence through proactive management. Ensure Workday is updated and managed appropriately through line managers.Drive and support managers as they manage Performance Improvement Plans through to completion.Maintain a direct link into the ER Ireland team, supporting and driving ER issues through to resolution. Will often lead and manage ER cases.Act as the main connection into firstpoint, ensuring contracts and onboarding on Workday are all managed efficiently and effectively.In partnership with L&D and Engagement manager, hold monthly Connect / Discussion / Consultation group sessions with representatives across IBH.Hold monthly drop-in sessions for all managers on relevant HR topics and policies.Work in partnership with the L&D Manager and HRBP on the Annual Calendar of learning for line managers.To be successful in this role, you will need: HR manager experience with a background in retail and/or hospitality, or experience across multiple HR functions.Strong operational knowledge of ROI and European employment legislation.Ability to persuade, influence and build credibility with all levels of stakeholders.Track record of excellent coaching and relationship building skills.Comfortable with ambiguity, complexity and leading multiple priorities at pace.Working with Us Flexibility is key to success in our business and many of our people work flexibly in many different ways, including part-time, compressed hours, and flexible location.
