I.T Officer At Heritage Credit Union

Role Overview The I.T.
Officer will be primarily responsible for developing and supporting the I.T.
infrastructure/ Operation within the credit union.
The key objective is to support the I.T.
network, and employees PCs, managed day-to-day software-related issues, and act as a primary point of contact for dealing with external providers.
The successful candidate will provide quality technical support and training where required to the staff of Heritage Credit Union and clearly communicate technical issues (troubleshooting).
The role will provide opportunities to work on a variety of I.T.
projects, liaising with different departments across the credit union and providing support across our 12 branches.
Key Roles and Responsibilities Day-to-day support issues Front-line I.T.
support to include password management; PC, printer/scanner and network support.
Setting up new staff members as they join Heritage CU as part of their induction program.
Movement and setting up of workstations across the credit unions branch network.
Monitoring of equipment and identifying equipment that requires replacements or repair Maintenance of server and PC hardware and software including cleaning, updating and investigation of system and application events that affect performance and connectivity.
I.T.
Governance Responsibilities Coordination of the credit unions cyber security posture, ensuring we have best in class protection, including ongoing regular training with all officers.
Coordination and tracking of all I.T.
Assets Ensuring endpoint security management and patching is up to date at all times Oversee firewall and spam firewall configurations as needed for effective security and end-user efficiency.
Oversight of the credit union Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans, including testing of same.
Ensure Security of data, network access and backup systems.
Taking the lead on planning for and project management in rolling out all new technology enhancements Preparing period reports on IT related issues and reporting into the SLT as required with I.T updates External Stakeholder Engagement Work with vendors in relation to procurement and maintenance of IT assets.
Helping assist a variety of different I.T.
providers with support work they may need to be completed.
Training Take ownership of the delivery of I.T.
training to devise training that will help enable employees across the credit union to utilize the I.T.
infrastructure in the credit union to its maximum capacity.
Training on IT generally where applicable including safety briefing; updating staff on latest good practices.
Strategy Helping develop and implement our I.T.
strategy using existing strategy documents and best practices incorporating the new product roll outs planned for Heritage CU.
All other duties assigned that are lawful and reasonable.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required Ideally third level qualification in I.T or related field e.g.
computer science, information technology, software development or network engineering Complete understanding of the general and technical aspects of the role including system applications Ability to work independently and also in a team environment Excellent administrative, organisational, and support skills Ability to prioritise issues and escalate accordingly Solid knowledge of program processes, methodologies, and tools, as well as financial processes.
Experience in managing direct relationships with key project stakeholders Proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget Minimum of 1/2 years progressive IT work or relevant industry experience or equivalent required Ability to travel between branch offices as required must have full clean drivers licence and access to a car.
