Job Title Quality Compliance Officer Job Location North Co. Cork Salary €42K - €45K About the Company: Out client is currently recruiting for a Quality Compliance Officer to join their team based in North County Cork.
The role reports to the Technical Manager and plays a vital part in the organizations commitment to quality, food safety, and customer satisfaction The Technical Quality Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant food safety, regulatory, and customer-specific standards.
This role involves maintaining quality management systems, overseeing audits, managing supplier and customer relationships, fostering a strong food safety culture, and ensuring all documentation and training are up to date.
Roles & Responsibilities Include: Stay informed about relevant legislation, food safety developments, BRC Global Standards, Halal standards, and customer-specific requirements.
Update and communicate internally to all stakeholders.
Oversee and approve updates to the Quality Manual, in collaboration with the Technical Manager when needed.
Facilitate and document annual Hazard Analysis, HACCP/TACCP/VACCP reviews.
Review all lab results on a weekly /Monthly basis and work on continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist in implementation of a company-wide Food Safety Culture program.
Provide food safety updates and guidance to staff through team briefings and individual consultations.
Attend management meetings and follow up on corrective actions as required.
Serve as a liaison with the Department of Agriculture, Food, and Marine for compliance and regulatory matters.
Assist the Technical Manager in conducting annual Management Reviews.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and global standards such as BRC.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Essential Criteria: A degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field is preferred.
2+ years experience in quality assurance, food safety compliance, or a similar role in the food industry.
Proficiency in regulatory and quality management standards, including BRC and HACCP.
Proven ability to manage audits, internal compliance checks, and customer relations.
Leadership skills in fostering a food safety culture and training staff.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work within a team environment.
