Infrastructure Software DeveloperWe are looking for an Infrastructure Software Developer to join our WorldQuant Aligned Infrastructure team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, reliable, and scalable infrastructure solutions and self-service tools for our rapidly growing internal users.
The team is comprised of multidisciplinary individuals with unrestricted access across a large environment. We believe that one cannot build a truly great service without the ability to make changes across the stack. We take great care in focusing on solving real business problems, reducing operational overhead and working together as a team.
Responsibilities Develop, test and implement infrastructure solutions and self-service toolsEvaluate and recommend tools, technologies and processes to ensure the highest quality product platformImplement orchestration on top of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automationDevelop and maintain scalable and robust internal APIs, CLIs and packagesParticipate in the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelinesEnsure system quality, responsiveness and stability through effective design, coding and testingUnderstand, monitor and manage complex distributed systems to effectively automate, alert and implement self-healing solutionsPerform code reviews and promote best practicesOptimize for async collaboration with our global teamIdeal Candidate An exceptional infrastructure software developer, committed to developing high quality code and infrastructure solutionsA collaborative team player with superior communication and problem-solving skillsDriven by curiosity, always ready to learn, explore, and put new technologies to the test with clear set objectivesRequired Skills / Experience Proven experience as a Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Developer or similar role in software developmentProficiency in programming languages such as Python or GoExperience with infrastructure as code (IaC) automation tools such as Ansible, SaltStack and TerraformHands on experience with API development and integrationFamiliarity with container orchestration services, especially KubernetesExperience with designing and implementing CI/CD pipelinesDeep understanding of complex distributed systems architecturesExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailsAbility to communicate complex concepts clearly with both stake holders and developers
