Insurance & Operations Portfolio Lead

Role Purpose: The role has two distinct remits:
Act as the insurance product expert focused on increasing insurance conversion, insurance product development, regulatory oversight, and increasing insurance revenue for CarTrawler and our Partners.Working with Partner and Supply teams to deliver best-in-class operational support for renewals, contracting, RFPs, and other operational deliverables that support our high-touch partnership model.Key Responsibilities: Identify and deliver insurance optimizations/product enhancements via a testing roadmap that targets performance uplift for our partners.Work within the insurance team to identify new strategic opportunities, then be accountable for their delivery by working closely with internal stakeholders. This will result in enhanced customer experience and a positive impact on revenue outcomes.Analyze insurance performance data via agreed KPIs and, in turn, act on insights with agreed action plans.Be the expert on our insurance products and their performance by keeping current on the market, the competitive landscape (including research), our user challenges, and how those inputs relate to the business strategy.Represent the insurance function as the team delivers and improves the insurance product roadmap, ensuring cross-functional stakeholders clearly understand the insurance objectives.Be comfortable operating in regulated (insurance), commercial, and technology domains – balancing commercial gain with regulated parameters.Act as the regulatory contact for insurance within the Company, prioritizing compliance and stakeholder engagement, including supporting Captive Board actions and inputs.Help create an efficient and streamlined renewal process that supports our Partner and Supply Teams in their goals to maximize renewals, enhance commercial returns, and ensure robust and timely contracting.Proactively support operational insurance requirements, including contracting, partner-specific asks, and integrations.Critical InterfacesPartnerships & Trading Squads: Key stakeholders who rely on the insurance function to provide an ancillary revenue-generating touchpoint for our partners.Product & Technology: Critical stakeholders responsible for maintaining insurance touchpoints and facilitating the building of insurance initiatives/strategic projects.Car Supply: This is a close working relationship as insurance is attached to the car purchase.Data Science & Insights: This is a two-way relationship, with both functions relying on each other to improve accuracy and data quality.Customer Operations: Provide any insights that will improve the customer experience.Qualifications: 2-3 years of experience working in the Insurance & Car Industry is desirable, while experience in regulated products is beneficial.Proven experience in managing online merchandising touchpoints/campaigns via delivery of projects from ideation to execution.Commercial savviness – solid understanding and experience setting KPIs for product and testing success.MVT testing knowledge is desirable but not essential.Excellent and effective communicator – able to communicate at all levels within the team (tech, design, research) and the various business functions by relaying product updates, decisions, and rationale.Self-starter and collaborative team member – working well with your team, other product teams, and the business in realizing great products.Detail-oriented – excellent organizational skills, with the ability to capture all requirements and scenarios.Location: Classon House
