Intermediate/Project QS | Cost Consultancy | Hybrid working Salary Dependent on Experience The Intermediate/Project Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for providing comprehensive cost management services on various construction projects, supporting the delivery of accurate financial advice, cost estimates, and contractual administration. The role involves working closely with senior team members, clients, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Pre-Contract ServicesAssist in preparing cost estimates, feasibility studies, and initial budget proposals for clientsDevelop detailed cost plans and bills of quantities using industry-standard softwareSupport in preparing tender documentation, including pricing schedules, bills of quantities, and tender analysis reportsAssist in evaluating tenders, analyzing bids, and preparing recommendations for contractor selectionPost-Contract ServicesPrepare and manage interim valuations, progress reports, and cash flow forecasts for ongoing projectsMonitor project costs, identify potential cost overruns, and assist in managing change control proceduresConduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure work aligns with the agreed scope and budgetAssist in assessing variations, change orders, and claims, ensuring accurate cost analysis and documentationClient & Stakeholder EngagementBuild and maintain positive working relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholdersCommunicate clearly and professionally, providing updates on project cost status and addressing client queriesTeam Collaboration & DevelopmentWork closely with senior team members to ensure high standards of service deliveryCollaborate with junior staff, providing guidance and support on technical aspects of quantity surveyingMaintain and update internal project documentation, ensuring records are accurate and up-to-dateProfessional DevelopmentStay informed about industry standards, cost management best practices, and changes in construction legislationWork towards professional accreditation (e.g., RICS) if not already attainedQualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably within a cost consultancy environmentProgress towards professional qualification (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is essentialExperience in managing the financial aspects of projects in various sectors, such as commercial, residential, and infrastructureFor more information, please reach out to Matthew at ****** or connect on LinkedIn.
