Role: International Property Claims Handler

Senior Property Claims Handler wanted for International Claims Portfolio Role-Dublin City Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Senior Property Claims Handler to join our client, a Global Insurance Group, to handle a mixed portfolio of claims across Ireland and Europe. This role will report directly into the Head of Claims and will be responsible for managing and overseeing large value property claims.
My client are offering this role on a hybrid model of 3 days a week in the office and the ideal candidate will have prior experience of managing similar claims both domestically and internationally.
Your Role: Manage a portfolio of high-value property claims from notification to settlement, ensuring efficient and effective resolution.Oversee TPAs managing claims under delegated authority, ensuring adherence to service standards, compliance, and performance metrics.Conduct thorough assessments of property damage, determine coverage, and evaluate the extent of the loss.Ensure all claims are accurately documented and reported, maintaining detailed records and producing regular reports for management.Act as the primary point of contact for clients, brokers, TPAs, and other stakeholders, providing updates and addressing queries.Negotiate settlements with policyholders, TPAs, and other parties, ensuring fair and prompt resolution of claims.Ensure all claims handling processes comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies, adhering to industry best practices.Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring a proactive approach to claims management.Provide guidance and training to junior claims handlers and TPAs, sharing expertise and promoting best practices.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance claims handling processes and service delivery.Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and effectively managing client expectations.Work closely with international teams to handle cross-border claims, ensuring seamless coordination and consistency in claims handling.Your Skills: Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) qualified, demonstrating a high standard of insurance expertise.Extensive experience in managing high-value property claims from inception to resolution.Knowledge and experience in handling both Irish and international property claims.Proven ability to oversee Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) operating under delegated authority, ensuring compliance and quality.Strong analytical skills to assess claims, determine coverage, and evaluate the extent of loss.Excellent negotiation skills to effectively settle claims while maintaining positive relationships with clients and other stakeholders.Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients, TPAs, and internal teams effectively.Exceptional organisational abilities to manage multiple claims simultaneously and meet deadlines.Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in claims documentation and reporting.Strong problem-solving skills to handle complex claims and resolve issues efficiently.High level of customer service focus to provide excellent support to policyholders and maintain client satisfaction.Proficiency in using claims management systems and other relevant software.Should this position be of interest to you please forward your CV or alternatively call Tadhg at 01 9052560.
