About the role An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Global Investment Selection Team in Davy Private Clients. The Global Investment Selection Team is responsible for identifying the most appropriate investment instruments for inclusion in our client portfolios, and delivering the effective communication of the chosen investment instruments both internally and to our clients.
As a Senior Associate within the Investment Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the sourcing and reviewing of all existing and potential investments in their assigned investment stream. This role will focus on fixed income fund selection. The position also allows for a wider role contributing to team-level responsibilities in respect of other classes, including liquid alternatives. The role will include the oversight of existing investment positions, as well as the identification of new investments. In addition, the candidate will successfully develop and implement an effective communication and marketing plan including internal and external research publications, new product launches and client events, and will manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
In the role, the successful candidate will:
Source potential new investments for inclusion in client portfolios in their assigned investment stream. This will include presenting recommendations to the Investment Committee in order to implement the strategic and tactical aims of the investment function.Evaluate existing investments to ensure optimal allocation.Create and maintain relationships with external managers and providers that are capable of delivering best in class investments that are suitable to our investment requirements.Manage new product launches including the development of an effective structure and marketing plan.Provide ongoing support for existing investments to include product and manager updates/events.Create and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders across a number of departments including delivery of information to portfolio managers and clients.Development and management of junior members of the team.About you We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:
Minimum 5 years' investment experience; including experience of fixed income investment fund selection.High degree of technical expertise.Excellent risk awareness.Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.A strong commitment to personal development.Demonstrable problem-solving skills and an ability to think analytically and conceptually.Experience of successfully working under pressure and tight deadlines.Experience of the MS Office suite combined with a strong knowledge of Bloomberg.The completion of the QFA and CFA examinations is a requirement for this position.
