POSITION OVERVIEW Responsible for the planning and delivery of the academic programme of EFL students Represent MLA values Reports to Director of Studies/Assistant Director of Studies 6 days per week (Monday to Saturday) Residential employment available from late June – mid-August Teachers will deliver high-quality and communicative EFL Task Based lessons as part of a teaching team.
Working hours are variable and will be organised according to a rota in the centre.
You will not be required to go on excursions, activities or any pastoral care outside your teaching and admin hours on teaching days.
REQUIREMENTS Essential Must have an EU passport/right to work in Ireland, and a valid Criminal Record Check from your country of residence Proven suitability to work with students under 18: at least 2 references. CELTA / Trinity CertTESOL qualification, or a PGCE/QTS award related to YL/ESOL/English/Languages (or equivalent Ofqual recognised standards) Other TEFL Level 5 certificates or TEFL certificates + proven observed experience considered A Level 6 degree or equivalent qualifications/experience AccessTEFL in progress (portfolio) Experience of Teaching EFL Classes (including teaching practice) Desirable DELTA / Trinity DipTESOL / MA TESOL completed or in progress Master's Degree in ELT/TESOL (or related subjects) EFL experience teaching teenagers EFL Summer School Teaching experience in Ireland or the UK First Aid Qualification COMPENSATION
Non-Residential staff can earn up to EUR 716 net per week.
Hourly rate EUR 15 to EUR 17 plus 15% to 17% to cover administrative duties based on qualifications and experience.
