Java Developer (Contract)

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Java Developer to join our client's team working remotely from Ireland. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working with Java, as well as experience in the financial sector specifically with payments.
Responsibilities:Develop and maintain Java-based applications and systemsWork with cross-functional teams to design and implement new featuresTroubleshoot and debug any issues that ariseWrite clean, efficient, and well-documented codeStay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologiesExperience working with payments in the financial sectorRequirements:5+ years of experience working with Java2+ years working with paymentsStrong understanding of software development principlesExperience with Agile development methodologiesStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.This is a contract position within a pre-existing team on a long-term project, with the possibility of multiple extensions for the right person. This is a remote position for the entirety of the contract (It will remain remote although the employer reserves the right to amend this to a hybrid model in subsequent contract extensions).
*Please note a sponsorship/work permit visa is not possible for this role. In order to apply for a work permit in Ireland the job must be permanent, or the contract must be for a minimum of 2 years. *You must be resident in the Republic of Ireland (or willing to relocate here), and you must also have the full right to work in Ireland.
